Abstract:
A continuously variable transmission for a bicycle. Both ends of a long shaft (4) mounted on a bicycle frame are connected to foot levers (1) by means of linkage shafts (5), respectively. A handlebar rotating wheel (6) provided with a locking block (7) is mounted on a handlebar. A rotating wheel (9) is mounted in the foot lever (1). A steel wire rope (8) is wound around the handlebar rotating wheel (6) and the rotating wheel (9). A sliding block (10) is fixed on the steel wire rope (8). A one-way clockwise gear (12) and a second big gear (15) are mounted on the bicycle frame by means of a center shaft (16). A one-way counterclockwise gear (13) and a first big gear (14) are mounted on the bicycle frame. The first big gear (14) is engaged with the second big gear (15). One end of a rack bar (11) is movably connected to the sliding block (10), and a rack on the other end of the rack bar (11) is engaged with the one-way clockwise gear (12) and the one-way counterclockwise gear (13). The continuously variable transmission for a bicycle is simple in structure, low in costs, and convenient to operate, and has no gear position, would not slip, and operates stably.
