Abstract:
This continuously variable transmission has an annular band having grooves capable of meshing with movable teeth disposed on a second pulley, and having an impelling part that impels the movable teeth to the outside in the axial direction of a shaft. The continuously variable transmission is provided with: a meshing determination unit that determines whether the grooves of the band have meshed with the movable teeth; and an oil pressure control unit that reduces oil pressure in a second oil chamber when the meshing determination unit has determined that the grooves of the band have meshed with the movable teeth.
