Abstract:
A transmission is provided with: a variator the secondary pressure of which is supplied to a secondary oil chamber; and a second oil pump that is provided in a second oil path, which brings a primary oil chamber and the secondary oil chamber into communication, and that controls primary oil chamber oil entry and exit. The second oil pump is configured from a gear pump. The transmission is also provided with a controller for controlling the second oil pump so as to achieve the target gear ratio for the variator while performing, when the differential pressure is in an unstable range, compensatory control that controls the second oil pump so as to limit the occurrence of reciprocating rotation of the second oil pump.
