Abstract:
This continuously variable transmission is provided with an electric oil pump that is disposed on an oil path between a primary pulley oil chamber and a secondary pulley oil chamber and that is for moving oil in and out of the primary pulley oil chamber. The electric oil pump has one outlet thereof connected to the secondary pulley oil chamber and has the other outlet thereof connected to the primary pulley oil chamber via an oil path switching valve. The oil path switching valve has a structure that enables switching between a first switching position where the primary pulley oil chamber is connected with the other outlet, and a second switching position where the connection between the primary pulley oil chamber and the other outlet is cut off and the other outlet is connected with an oil path for connecting an oil reservoir to the oil path switching valve. The continuously variable transmission is further provided with, on an oil path between the electric oil pump and the oil path switching valve, a discharge mechanism for discharging oil jetted out from the other outlet to the outside of the oil path.
