Abstract:
[Problem] To minimize the execution of shift control that opposes the intention of a driver. [Solution] In a continuously variable transmission installed in a vehicle, when an accelerator opening degree becomes small while the vehicle is traveling, and then upshifting is performed in accordance with the accelerator opening degree until a predetermined opening degree is reached and the accelerator opening degree becomes smaller than the predetermined opening degree, further upshifting is performed from a gear ratio at the time the accelerator opening degree is the predetermined opening degree to fix the gear ratio so as to be higher than the gear ratio at the time the accelerator opening degree is the predetermined opening degree, and then further upshifting is performed from the fixed gear ratio in accordance with the accelerator opening degree.
