Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/212140
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This continuously variable transmission has: a plurality of elements including a barrel part having a saddle surface, and a pair of pillar parts extending from the barrel part so as to be positioned on both widthwise sides of the saddle surface; and a ring placed between the pair of pillar parts of the plurality of elements. The continuously variable transmission also includes a motion transfer belt wound in V-shaped grooves of first and second pulleys. When the groove width of one of the first and second pulleys is minimal, at least part of the ring along the thickness direction thereof, the ring being wound in one of the first and second pulleys, protrudes farther diametrically outward than the outermost periphery of the surface of the V-shaped groove of that one of the first and second pulleys.
