Abstract:
A continuously variable transmission comprises, in a disc overlap region in which an input disc and an output disc are overlapping, a pair of pressing means disposed in a movable manner along a shaft center connection line connecting a shaft center of an input shaft and a shaft center of an output shaft, clamping-pressing both disks at a position corresponding to a target gear ratio, and forming a torque transmission contact portion. The continuously variable transmission comprises a pair of supporting means moving along the shaft center connection line together with the pressing means while clamping the pressing means, with one end portion side serving as a fulcrum, and generating a clamping pressing force on both disks by the pressing means through the clamping force added to the other end portion side.
