Abstract:
The continuously variable transmission (1) is provided with a transmission shaft (60), a first rotating element (10), a second rotating element (20), rolling members (50), and a ring-shaped pooling section (90). The ring-shaped pooling section (90) has a cylindrical member (91) and a pair of ring-shaped members (92, 93). A lubricating medium can be pooled in the ring-shaped pooling space (97) formed inside the cylindrical member (91) by the cylindrical member (91) and the pair of ring-shaped members (92, 93). With respect to directions orthogonal to the first rotation center axis line (R1), the inside edges of the pair of ring-shaped members (92, 93) are positioned closer to the first rotation center axis line (R1) than the contact points (P1) between the first rotating element (10) and the rolling members (50) and the contact points (P2) between the second rotating element (20) and the rolling members (50). As a result, the continuously variable transmission (1) is able to secure appropriate lubrication performance.
