Abstract:
The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission, which includes: first pulleys (110A, 110B); second pulleys (210A, 210B); a belt (20); and first elastic members (120A, 120B). The continuously variable transmission uses a pair of movable pulleys provided at a driving shaft or a driven shaft to reduce the difference between the torques of the pulleys, enables the movable pulleys to be rotated by elastic members in the direction identical to the rotational direction of the belt to minimize slip between the movable pulleys and the belt and thereby prevent a loss in power, and can save the driver from the difficulty of applying an excessively large force to a pedal at the time of starting to move or driving up an inclined road or the inconvenience of manually changing gears each time.
