Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a continuously variable transmission that prevents the turning radius of a turning section from changing in an unintended manner when starting or halting a travel drive source. [Solution] The continuously variable transmission is provided with: a plurality of motion conversion mechanisms that have a turning section, which can turn integrally with an input section, an oscillating section, which is supported by an output shaft, and a coupling body, which couples the turning section and oscillating section, and that convert the turning motion of the turning section to the oscillating motion of an oscillating section; a unidirectional rotation prevention mechanism; a turning radius adjustment mechanism that can adjust the turning radius of the turning section; and a turning radius control unit that controls an adjustment drive source. The turning radius control unit executes a maintaining process that controls the adjustment drive source in a manner so as to maintain the turning radius of the turning section. The turning radius control unit executes the maintaining process (step 13, step 14) before the travel drive source is started when the travel drive source is started, and ends the maintaining process after halting the travel drive source when the travel drive source is halted.
