Abstract:
The present invention achieves a structure that can secure reliability of a learning value without a greater-than-necessary loss of learning opportunities, even if an ignition switch is turned off during learning related to the step position of a stepping motor that is the baseline of gear ratio control of a toroidal continuously variable transmission. By means of a controller (11), the on/off state of the ignition switch (33) is determined, the execution of learning control is permitted only in the on state, and the execution of learning control is prohibited in the off state. As a result, after the ignition switch (33) is turned off, in the state of the rotational frequency of an engine (1) decreasing, the execution of learning relating to the step position of the stepping motor (24) is prevented. Consequently, mislearning is prevented, and reliability of the learning value can be secured. Also, as learning after the ignition switch is turned off is prohibited, the state of the ignition switch being turned on and the engine rotation being stable does not need to be eliminated from being the subject of learning control, and so learning opportunities are not lost more than necessary.
