Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling a construction machine by setting the operating conditions suited for a working attachment reliably and simply even if information inherent in the working attachment cannot be inputted. A construction machine to which a working attachment (2) is attached comprises a control unit (12) for controlling oil pressure sources (5 and 6) on the basis of the information inherent in the working attachment (2), a display unit (60) for displaying judgement impossibility when the kind of the working attachment (2) cannot be recognized, and a standard value setting unit for setting standard values of the kind of the working attachment (2) and the operating condition of the working attachment (2) when the judgement impossibility is displayed on the display unit (60). The control unit (12) controls the oil pressure sources (5 and 6) on the basis of the information on the operating condition preset on the basis of the information on the working attachment (2), and the information on the standard value preset by the standard value setting unit.
