Abstract:
If a gear change instruction is issued while an engine is applying torque to the input shaft of an automatic transmission, the gear is changed as follows. In a torque phase, a clutch to be engaged is readied by the application of a torque-phase pressure. Then an inertia phase is started as follows: a target torque decrease amount (ΔTe) is set such that the lower the gear (Sn) to upshift to is, the more the engine torque is decreased by; and, when ready at the torque-phase pressure (Ptor), the engine torque is decreased by the target torque decrease amount (ΔTe).
