Abstract:
Provided is a control device for an automatic transmission (AT) to which driving force from a driving source including an engine (Eng) and a motor/generator (MG) is input. The control device is provided with a second brake (B2) that is engaged in a D range; an engagement start determination means (step S2→S3→S4); and a determination prohibit means (step S2→S5→S6). During rotational speed control, when the D range is selected to engage the second brake (B2) in a disengaged state, the engagement start determination means determines that the second brake (B2) has started engagement when the load of the motor/generator (MG) is increased by a predetermined amount. The determination prohibit means prohibits the engagement start determination upon switch-over from an HEV mode to an EV mode so as to prevent erroneous determination of a motor load variation resulting from the switch-over from the HEV mode to the EV mode as the start of engagement of a frictional engagement element.
