Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the risk of death of a subject when automatically controlling the operation of a clamp in a circulation device. The present invention is a circulation device that uses a circulation circuit and circulates the blood of the subject, outside the body, said circulation device comprising: a bubble sensor (114) that detects bubbles in the circulation circuit; a clamp (122) that blocks the path of the circulation circuit to inside the subject's body; and a control unit (205) that controls the clamp (122). The control unit (205) is characterized by: determining whether or not a medical professional capable of operating the circulation device is within a prescribed range, if a bubble for which the path should be blocked has been detected by the bubble sensor (114); and controlling the clamp (122) in accordance with the results of the determination.
