Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: an ignition control unit (102) that causes a spark plug to execute, while partial compression ignition combustion is executed, a main ignition for starting SI combustion by generating a spark during the late stage of a compression stroke or the initial stage of an expansion stroke and a preceding ignition for generating a spark at a timing before the main ignition; and an injection control unit (102) that causes an injector to inject fuel at a timing such that there is fuel in a cylinder at a point of time before the preceding ignition, while the partial compression ignition combustion is executed likewise. The ignition timing of the preceding ignition is set to the delay side when the fuel concentration identified by a fuel concentration identification unit is high as compared to when the concentration is low.
