Abstract:
This control device for a continuously variable transmission is provided to a vehicle and includes a controller comprising a variator and a rotation sensor. Electrical abnormality of the rotation sensor is determined when an electrical abnormality detection state continues for a set length of time in the rotation sensor. In addition, when the rotation speed is within an abnormality detection range for function abnormality, the controller determines function abnormality of the rotation sensor and meanwhile prohibits the determination of function abnormality during a count lasting for a set length of time.
