Abstract:
In this control device that drives an occupant protection apparatus, which protects an occupant when a collision occurs between a vehicle and an object, on the basis of the detection result of an acceleration sensor disposed in the front portion of the vehicle so as to deviate from the width-directional center position of the vehicle, a detection unit detects the speed of the vehicle relative to the object and the direction of the object with respect to the vehicle, a threshold value setting unit sets a threshold value on the basis of the detection result of the detection unit, and a driving control unit controls driving of the occupant protection device on the basis of the output signal of the acceleration sensor and the threshold value.
