Abstract:
Provided are a control device for an electric motor, and an electric brake device, with which the temperature of a permanent magnet can be estimated with a small amount of error. The control device for an electric motor is equipped with: an electric motor 47; a sensor magnet 48 that rotates in conjunction with the rotation of a rotary shaft 47B of the electric motor 47; an electric motor rotational position sensor 49 that detects the magnetic flux density of the sensor magnet 48; a temperature estimation unit 52 that estimates the temperature of the electric motor 47 on the basis of a detection value from the electric motor rotational position sensor 49; and an electric motor control unit 53 that controls the electric motor 47 in response to the estimated temperature from the temperature estimation unit 52.
