Abstract:
A control device that, in an engine that comprises a DOC, a DPF, and a heating means that is for heating the DOC and the DPF and includes an exhaust throttle valve, can execute forced regeneration processing in which the DPF is heated to remove PM that accumulates in the DPF. The control device comprises a flow rate estimation part that estimates the intake flow rate of a combustion gas that is fed into a cylinder of the engine. During the forced regeneration processing, the flow rate estimation part estimates a first intake flow rate that is the intake flow rate during the forced regeneration processing from first state quantities that indicate the operating state of the engine and include the rotational speed of the engine and from the degree of opening of the exhaust throttle valve on the basis of a first relationship that represents the relationship between the first intake flow rate and the first state quantities and the degree of opening of the exhaust throttle valve.
