Abstract:
The purpose is to reduce the engine startup shock when there is a request to start up the engine due to the accelerator pedal being depressed, that is, when the slip polarity of the second clutch is negative. The control device for a hybrid vehicle is provided with an engine (1), a motor generator (2), a first clutch (4), a second clutch (5), and means for controlling permission to begin cranking (FIG. 13). The first clutch (4) is interposed between the engine (1) and the motor generator (2), and is engaged during engine startup in which the motor generator (2) is used as the starter motor. The second clutch (5) is interposed between the motor generator (2) and tires (7, 7), and is slip-engaged when the engine is started. The means for controlling permission to begin cranking (FIG. 13) delays the starting of cranking by the engine (1) until the slip polarity becomes positive in the case that the engine startup request is a drive power request produced by an increase in the accelerator pedal opening, that is, in the case that the slip polarity of the second clutch (5) is negative.
