Abstract:
To provide a control device for a hybrid vehicle, capable of improving fuel consumption by scheduling an appropriate travel mode. The control device comprises an engine (Eng) and a motor/generator (MG) as travel drive sources, and is mounted to an FR hybrid vehicle (S) capable of selecting, as a travel mode, between: an electric automobile mode that uses only the motor/generator (MG) as the travel drive source therefor; and a hybrid vehicle mode that uses the engine (Eng) and the motor/generator (MG) as travel drive sources therefor. The control device also comprises: a navigation system (4) that sets the planned travel route from the current location to a destination; an acquisition unit (1a) that obtains vehicle information corresponding to the attributes of the vehicle, from information about other vehicles that have traveled the planned travel route; and a control unit (1b) that schedules the travel mode for the planned travel route, on the basis of this selection information.
