Abstract:
 This control device is used in a hybrid vehicle provided with an internal combustion engine (3) capable of switching between lean combustion and stoichiometric combustion, and motor-generators (4, 5) acting as power sources for traveling. The control device executes a noise suppression control that restricts the operating points of the internal combustion engine (3) so as to suppress noise caused by a power transmission mechanism (6, 20, 23, 27), wherein the operating mode of the internal combustion engine (3) is switched if the thermal efficiency when executing the noise suppression control by switching the operating mode of the internal combustion engine (3) is higher than the thermal efficiency when executing the noise suppression control by maintaining the operating mode of the internal combustion engine (3).
