Abstract:
The present invention ensures the durability of vehicle startup and of an auxiliary battery and reduces the size of the auxiliary battery. An FF hybrid vehicle equipped with a starter motor (1), a transverse engine (2), a motor/generator (4), a high power battery (21), and a 12V battery (22) that is charged through a DC/DC converter (37) by the high power battery (21). This FF hybrid vehicle is provided with a hybrid control module (81) that controls the operation start timing of the DC/DC converter (37) at vehicle startup. When an ignition switch (91) is pressed, after connecting a high power relay (21a) that is interposed between the motor/generator (4) and the high power battery (21), the hybrid control module (81) begins operation of the DC/DC converter (37) when the electric power that can be output by the high power battery is at or above a prescribed value.
