Abstract:
The present invention provides a control device applied to an internal combustion engine provided with a supercharger and a control valve. The supercharger has an open area change member for changing the magnitude of the energy of exhaust gas to be introduced into the supercharger by changing the open area of a passage region. The control valve changes the magnitude of the energy of the exhaust gas to be introduced into the supercharger by changing the degree of opening thereof. The control device is provided with a control means for, when an instruction to change the degree of opening of the control valve by a target opening degree difference is given to the control valve at a predetermined instruction point, giving the opening area change member an instruction to change the open area of the passage region on the basis of the target opening degree difference and a response time length-related parameter that is a parameter related to the response time length of the control valve.
