Abstract:
In a control device (100) used in an internal combustion engine (1) comprising a fuel reforming cylinder (2) and an output cylinder (3), the compression-end gas temperature of the fuel reforming cylinder (2) is adjusted by changing the EGR gas volume, the effective compression ratio, or the polytrope count, said temperature being adjusted in accordance with the equivalence ratio inside the fuel reforming cylinder (2) and such that the concentration of a specified gas component in reformed fuel generated by the fuel reforming cylinder (2) reaches a target concentration stipulated in accordance with a required engine output.
