Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of accurately calculating a necessary discharge energy amount when performing control for achieving a target gas-fuel ratio given as a control target of the internal combustion engine. The present invention is provided with: an ignition coil 16 for inducing a discharge voltage for causing a spark plug to generate a discharge spark; a discharge voltage generation part 29 for causing the ignition coil 16 to generate the discharge voltage; and an ignition control means 24 for determining a basic discharge energy amount to be generated by the discharge voltage generation part 29 in accordance with an operating condition of the internal combustion engine. The ignition control means 24 is provided with a discharge energy correction means 26-28 for obtaining the final discharge energy amount required for controlling the mixed gases in the cylinder to a target gas fuel ratio G/F by correcting a basic discharge energy amount corresponding to an in-cylinder mixture state determined by external environmental factors.
