Abstract:
Processors (B705, B706) of a control device for an internal combustion engine 1 calculate, from the crank angle detected by a crank angle sensor 20, a first combustion timing (MFB50) or a first combustion period (IG100_1) in a cylinder of the internal combustion engine 1. A processor (B702) calculates a heat generation rate on the basis of the first combustion timing or the first combustion period. A processor (B703) calculates in-cylinder pressure and in-cylinder unburned gas temperature on the basis of the heat generation rate. A processor (B704) calculates a first combustion rate (laminar flow combustion rate SL1) on the basis of the in-cylinder pressure and the in-cylinder unburned gas temperature. A processor (B707) learns the correlation between the first combustion rate and the first combustion timing or first combustion period.
