Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a lane departure detection unit 130 that detects a lane departure; a rear vehicle determination unit 110 that determines whether or not a rear vehicle is present; a lane change start detection unit 140 that detects a start of a lane change; a lane change end detection unit 150 that detects an end of a lane change; a steering assistance control unit 160 that, when a lane departure is detected, applies assistive steering torque to a steering wheel 21 for a predetermined period in a direction opposite from a direction of the lane departure so as to maintain a travel lane; and assistive steering torque canceling units 170 and 180 that, when the start of a lane change is detected while no rear vehicle is present, cancel the application of the assistive steering torque, and when the end of a lane change is detected while a rear vehicle is present, cancel the application of the assistive steering torque.
