Abstract:
This control device (ECU (50)) for a laser ignition engine performs ignition by using a laser ignition device (11) which emits a laser beam focused by a lens (11d), and is provided with a combustion state-related value acquisition unit (51) which acquires a combustion state-related value relating to the combustion state of the engine (1), and a contamination determination unit (52) which determines whether or not the laser ignition device (11) has been contaminated by comparing the combustion state-related value acquired by the combustion state-related value acquisition unit (51) and a combustion state determination value defined on the basis of the combustion state of the engine when in a state in which the laser ignition device (11) is not contaminated.
