Abstract:
The present invention suppresses luminance deterioration, while effectively suppressing a temperature increase of an LED and peripheral circuits of a backlight. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a backlight drive control unit (8) of a control device (50) provided to a liquid crystal display device (10) increases and reduces, on the basis of two threshold values, power supplying to a backlight, and a time during which the power supplying to the backlight (9) is reduced is made longer than a time during which the power supplying to the backlight (9) is increased.
