Abstract:

Provided are a control device for a machine tool and a machine tool capable of easily performing cutting involving vibration depending on a feed amount. A control device 180 for a machine tool comprises a control unit 181 for controlling relative rotation and feed operation of a tool and a material, and the control unit combines outward feed movement of the material in a processing direction by the tool and return movement in an anti-processing direction such that cutting is performed while vibrating the tool with respect to the material. A return movement setting unit 193 sets a pulsed signal including an instruction to move the tool in the processing direction and an instruction for return movement. An outward feed setting unit 192 controls the tool to reach the changing point by combined movement of the movement in the processing direction based on the return movement setting unit and the outward feed movement. The pulsed signal is formed into a sine wave having an inflection point, and the phase of the inflection point for controlling the tool to reach the changing point is set to a value different from the phase of the changing point.
