Abstract:
Control device (30) that performs PWM control for an inverter (14) includes a synchronous PWM control circuit (304), which generates a control command for inverter (14) by means of PWM control based on a comparison of a sinusoidal voltage command signal and a carrier wave signal for the purpose of operating an alternating current motor (M1) in response to operation commands, and a carrier wave generation circuit (306), which maintains as a whole number the number of synchronizations, which is the frequency ratio of the voltage command signal and the carrier wave signal, and which switches the number of synchronizations according to the operational status of the alternating current motor (M1) and generates a carrier wave signal. Carrier wave generation circuit (306) adjusts the phase relationship of the voltage command signal and the carrier wave signal in response to the number of synchronizations such that the alternating current transmitted and received between the inverter (14) and the alternating current motor (M1) in response to control commands from synchronous PWM control circuit (304) is symmetrical in the positive direction and the negative direction.
