Abstract:
An amplitude/phase control device (10) is configured to comprise: a signal splitting unit (12) that splits a transmission signal into a first signal and a second signal and that outputs each of the first signal and the second signal to a Doherty amplifier (14); an error calculating unit (16) that acquires from the Doherty amplifier (14) a combined signal of the first signal as amplified by the Doherty amplifier (14) and of the second signal as amplified by the Doherty amplifier (14), multiplies the combined signal by the reciprocal of the gain of the Doherty amplifier (14), and that calculates the error between the combined signal as multiplied by the reciprocal and the transmission signal; and a control unit (17) that controls, in accordance with the error calculated by the error calculating unit (16), the amplitude in each of the first signal and the second signal outputted from the signal splitting unit (12) and that controls, in accordance with the error, the phase difference between the first signal outputted from the signal splitting unit (12) and the second signal outputted from the signal splitting unit (12).
