Abstract:
According to the present invention, a control device of a diesel engine connected to an automatic transmission reduces the transmitting efficiency of the automatic transmission and increases the engine torque upon assessing that a cylinder internal temperature is less than the ignition temperature of an air-fuel mixture supplied to the engine due to the air-excess ratio of the air-fuel mixture being reduced to less than the ratio during normal operation.
