Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a control device and control method with which deterioration in image quality when the number of output bits in A/D conversion of an image is reduced can be suppressed, and to an electronic device. A bit control unit controls, on the basis of the amplification gain of an analog signal for an image, the number of bits in a digital signal converted from the analog signal. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, in a CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor which captures an image, converts an analog signal for the image obtained by said capture to a digital signal, and outputs said digital signal.
