Abstract:
Disclosed is a hybrid vehicle wherein an electrical heated catalyst (EHC) is arranged in an exhaust passage of an engine; and wherein an ECU judges whether or not a voltage (Vb) of a battery device exceeds an overvoltage level (Vbmax); and when the voltage (Vb) exceeds the overvoltage level (Vbmax), electricity is supplied from the battery device to the EHC and a cooling control is executed wherein the engine is forced to rotate while fuel supply to the engine is stopped; and when the voltage (Vb) is lower than the overvoltage level (Vbmax), the supply of electricity from the battery device to the EHC is blocked and the cooling control is stopped.
