Abstract:
A control device for an onboard engine, the control device comprising: a discharge pressure control unit that controls the discharge pressure of oil at an oil pump; an abnormality determination unit that determines whether it is possible that there is an abnormality in the control of the discharge pressure of the oil; a target modification unit that, when it has been determined that it is possible that there is an abnormality in the control of the discharge pressure of the oil, executes modification processing that makes a target discharge pressure higher than before it was determined that it is possible that there is an abnormality in the control; and an upper limit setting unit that, when a discharge pressure sensor value is not at or above a determination discharge pressure while the discharge pressure is being controlled on the basis of the target discharge pressure as increased by the execution of the modification processing, sets an upper limit for an engine rotational speed and increases the upper limit as the discharge pressure sensor value increases.
