Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a control device for a treatment system capable of causing high-frequency currents to pass through biological tissue and a method for operating the control device, wherein the control device effectively prevents the biological tissue from clinging to an end effector when the end effector is separated from the biological tissue following the application of high-frequency current. The end effector of a treatment tool becomes capable of applying high-frequency current to biological tissue when empowered by first electrical energy and operates by means of an electrical element being activated by second electrical energy. A processor receives a stop command to stop the supply while the first electrical energy and second electrical energy are being supplied (S105). After receiving the stop command, the processor determines whether the end effector is in contact with the biological tissue on the basis of parameters relating to the first electrical energy (S109).
