Abstract:
Disclosed is a control device for parking support provided with an obstacle detector for detecting an obstacle located around a vehicle, a parking drive support unit which, when it is judged that the distance of the detected obstacle from the vehicle is shorter than a predetermined control start distance, performs parking drive support to prevent the vehicle from coming closer to the obstacle, a parking start assessment unit for assessing a parking operation, a parking progress assessment unit for assessing the degree of parking progress during the parking operation assessed by the parking start assessment unit, and a parking progress calculation unit which reduces the amount of support control by the parking drive support unit in accordance with the degree of parking progress assessed by the parking progress assessment unit. According to the support control device, the parking drive support with respect to an obstacle located around a vehicle can be performed more appropriately.
