Abstract:
An alarm device is provided with: a sleep onset detecting unit which detects that a user has fallen asleep on the basis of biometric information indicating the biometric state of the user; and a notification control unit which activates an alarm unit encouraging the user to wake up when a timer period has elapsed after the sleep onset detecting unit has detected that the user has fallen asleep. The timer period is a period determined in such a way that a notifying unit is activated before the depth of sleep of the user reaches deep sleep.
