Abstract:
Proposed are a control device and a control method which can obviate damage caused by excessive input from a motor to a constant velocity universal joint throughout an actuation angle of the constant velocity universal joint, and which is furthermore capable of effectively using the constant velocity universal joint over a large area of the actuation angle. The proposed control device and control method are used in a vehicle which is powered by an electric motor (2) and which conveys the power from the electric motor (2) via a drive shaft (6) to driven wheels. Throughout the actuation angle of the constant velocity universal joint used in the drive shaft (6), the drive shaft input torque is constrained to the drive shaft torque limit or below.
