Abstract:

Provided is a control device, comprising: a receiving unit for receiving distributed data which includes a compressed update data and header having information specifying any of a plurality of update formats; a decompression unit for decompressing the update data from the distributed data received by the receiving unit; and a restoration unit which, using the update data decompressed by the decompression unit, restores an updated new program according to the update format specified in the header. The decompression unit switches, on the basis of the update format specified in the header, the decompression method used when decompressing the update data.
