Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to generate a two-phase modulation pulse so as to excite a stable three-phase alternating current even when the switching of an inverter (2) is controlled by means of two-phase modulation. A two-phase modulation pulse generator (16), which fixes at least one of the three phases in the high state or the low state during a prescribed fixed period (TF) and generates as an output pulse (SP) a two-phase modulation pulse that controls the switching of the inverter (2) by means of two-phase modulation wherein the other phases are modulated, generates a fixed pulse while synchronizing the fixed period (TF) with the rotation of a rotating electrical machine (5), and generates a modulation pulse by means of pulse-width modulation during the period other than the fixed period (TF).
