Abstract:
A control device (250) of a vehicle steering device (100) which is provided with left and right steering mechanisms (4L, 4R) that are not mechanically connected to one another, and which steers left and right steered wheels (3L, 3R) individually by means of driving forces from steering actuators (5L, 5R) is provided with a steering angle determining unit (20b) which determines a target steering angle for each steering mechanism (4L, 4R), and steering command units (30L, 30R) which create drive signals corresponding to the target steering angles and output the drive signals to the actuators (5L, 5R). If an abnormality occurs in one of the left and right steering mechanisms, the steering angle determining unit (20b) sets the target steering angle for the normal steering mechanism to be different from the target steering angle if both the left and right steering mechanisms are operating normally.
