Abstract:
A control device (1) equipped with: a power prediction unit (115) for predicting a trend in surplus power during the daytime on the basis of previously generated power and previous power consumption in a house; a period determination unit (116) for determining, on the basis of a predicted trend in the surplus power, a heating-possible period in which a hot water heater (4) is able to heat water using only surplus power during the daytime; a schedule generation unit (119) for generating an operation schedule for heating water by means of the hot water heater (4) on the basis of the heating-possible period; a determination unit (123) for determining whether a daytime heating period exists, when a preset reference time arrives; and a reporting unit (124) for generating an image for reporting to a user message information related to a nighttime heating water amount that can be heated by the hot water heater (4) during the nighttime, when the determination unit (123) determines that a daytime heating period exists.
