Abstract:
The present invention appropriately supplies oil to an oil path for engagement control even when a failure occurs in which a flow path control valve capable of switching the destination of oil discharged from a pump between an oil path for lubrication and cooling and the oil path for engagement control is fixed to a side on which the oil path for lubrication and cooling and the pump are connected together. This vehicle drive device is provided with: an engagement pressure flow path (21); a flow path (22) for lubrication; a first pump (1) having an outlet connected to the engagement pressure flow path (21); a second pump (2); and a flow path control valve (5). The flow path control valve (5) selectively switches a flow path between a first state in which the destination of flow of oil discharged from the second pump (2) is set to the engagement pressure flow path (21) and a second state in which that destination is set to the flow path (22) for lubrication. When a failure occurs in which the flow path control valve (5) is fixed in the second state (#1), a control device (10) of the vehicle control device increases the rotational speed of at least one of an internal combustion engine (70) and a rotating electric machine (80) to execute fail-safe control (#3) to supply oil to the engagement pressure flow path (21) by the first pump (1).
