Abstract:
A controller constitutes this control device for a vehicle, the control device comprising: a torque converter having a lock-up clutch; and a variator disposed downstream of the torque converter. When an air conditioner is turned on, the controller prohibits the use of a shift region of the variator in which an input rotation speed of the variator is less than a predetermined rotation speed. In a shift region in which the input rotation speed is equal to or larger than the predetermined rotation speed, the controller selects a shift line under the same condition as a shift line selection condition when the air conditioner is turned on and a shift line selection condition when the air conditioner is turned off.
