Abstract:
Provided is a control device for a vehicular power transmission system, which can improve the mileage by performing the speed change of an automatic transmission properly. A speed-change point setting means (94) sets the speed-change point of an automatic speed-change unit (20) basically with a demanded driving force (FR) of a driver and a vehicle speed (V). If a mileage-priority running-state deciding means (92) decides that a vehicle (6) is in a predetermined mileage-priority running-state, the speed-change point of the automatic speed-change unit (20) is set with an engine speed (NE) and the vehicle speed (V) in place of the demanded driving force (FR). Even if the demanded driving force (FR) does not change, it can be determined whether or not the speed change is to be made as soon as the engine operating point changes. The speed change can be made to the gear stage of the automatic speed-change unit (20), at which the transmission efficiency (η) of a power transmission system (10) is higher than that in the case of setting the speed change point always with the demanded driving force (FR) and the vehicle speed (V). In the mileage-priority running-state for prioritizing the mileage, therefore, the mileage can be improved by the improvement of the transmission efficiency (η).
