Abstract:

Provided is a technology that enables programming, including operations with respect to a database, without defining SQL statements. A PLC (30), which is capable of accessing a DBMS (22), stores a user program (38) that includes structural variables, and stores definition information (32) indicating structural definitions. A sequence command program (34) sequentially executes the commands in the user program (38), and calls a DB access process program (35) for accessing the DBMS (22). The DB access process program (35) reads the definition information (32) and, on the basis of the definition information (32) that has been read, generates SQL statements when the DMBS (22) is accessed by executing the user program (38). The DB access process program (35) transmits the generated SQL statements to a DB server (20), thereby executing the SQL statements.
